Plaza Tire Service to Drive Revionics Solution

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA, MARCH 23, 2009: Revionics, Inc., today announced that Plaza Tire Service has selected Revionics as their solution provider for everyday price, promotion, and markdown planning and optimization. Plaza Tire will utilize Revionics advanced pricing science and demand analytics to predict and influence consumer demand. Revionics strategic pricing solution, RAPS, is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), in an affordable, pay-as-you-go manner.
Founded in 1963 as Plaza Car Wash, Plaza Tire Service originally focused on providing hand-operated car wash services on William Street in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Eventually the company began selling and changing tires along the sidewalk outside the carwash until local regulations ended this practice. The company then chose to focus exclusively on providing tire and automotive services. Plaza Car Wash was renovated over one weekend, without losing a single day’s work, and the company was then renamed Plaza Tire Service.
Forty-six years later, Plaza Tire Service remains headquartered in Cape Girardeau and has grown to 50 tire stores located in Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Arkansas. Plaza Tire Service was listed as the 26th largest independently owned tire retailer in North America by Tire Business magazine. Its newest store opened December 2008 in Chesterfield, Mo.
Plaza Tire Service has built strong relationships within the tire industry allowing it to purchase tires direct from manufacturers including Bridgestone, Yokohama, Firestone, Dayton, Michelin, Pirelli, Toyo and Dick Cepek off-road tires along with Ultra and Enkei custom wheels. Its close relationships with manufacturers allows Plaza Tire Service to maintain two forceful strengths, expansive inventory and low, manufacturer-direct pricing.
